They got to the restaurant well ahead of the appointed time of their date with Vickie. It was an old strategy that had served them well many times before. Generously pre-tipping the waitress kept their server happy and they were assured they wouldn’t have problems.

The woman that arrived looking for them looked far too young and cute to be doing this sort of thing. Dylan gave his wife the side-eye when Vickie was escorted by the hostess to their table.

“She looks like she’s barely out of high school,” he said softly.

“I checked her background. She’s fine. She’s twenty five.”

They both stood and greeted Vickie who looked nervous. Dylan could feel the young woman’s fingers trembling when he took her hand in his.

“I’m so nervous,” she said when she sat down. “I’ve never done anything like this before.”

Rowen knew that was a lie, but she let it go.

Dylan, however, did not. “What? Having an affair with an older man or having an affair with an older man while his wife watches?”

The color drained from Vickie’s face. She froze, unable to move. The waitress brought her a glass of wine she hadn’t ordered. Vickie had enough presence of mind to drink it.

“Wow. You two are bold.”

“We just know what we want,” said Rowen. “But tell us more about you. We’re read and re-read your profile but that only tells us so much. Have you always been into older men?”

Dylan smiled and leaned in, ready to hear her answer.

“Um. Yeah. I guess. I always had crushes on teachers and friends of my parents. I never did anything, of course.” She drank more of her wine. At this rate, Rowen noted, Vickie would be drunk and easily pliable. “I just like the idea of an older, confident man.” She had been staring at her glass and now glanced nervously at Dylan and then Rowen. “I guess I don’t want the opportunity passing me by.”

“That’s an excellent philosophy to live by,” said Dylan.

Vickie laughed nervously.

Rowen pressed her. “You said in your profile that you wanted to have an affair with an older man. Who are you cheating on?”

In a remarkable tell, Vickie tried to hide her left hand. Both Dylan and Rowen had already noted that the ring finger on that hand was bare.

“I’m not cheating on anyone,” she stuttered out. She was a terrible liar, Rowen decided.

“Then why say an affair?”

She shrugged. “I just sort of figured the man would be married.”

“I am,” said Dylan, holding in a chuckle.

“I didn’t expect…this.” If Vickie had been rude and clueless she would have pointed directly at Rowen. “I mean…” She lowered her voice. “Why are you encouraging your husband to have an affair?”

“I enjoy watching,” said Rowen.

“Oh.”

“It’s a simple explanation, but the truth.” It was the truth. Rowen did enjoy watching her husband fuck other women. She also enjoyed a hell of a lot more on top of that.

“So do you have a boyfriend, a friend with benefits, anything right now?” asked Dylan.

Vickie shook her head. This lie was the best of the night.
